Hello my beautiful people! So I’ve decided I want to start posting more but unfortunately, being a full time college student and not having a job makes posting recipes more often quite unrealistic for me. SO! I got the idea from how sweet eats to start writing other posts! She posts super cute topics throughout the week and random days so I decided I’d try it out. My posts will probably mostly be about food in some way. Maybe I’ll start posting reviews of places and things I eat or things I’m really into at the moment.

Lately I’ve been seriously loving PILATES!
I started doing pilates last fall because one of my nutrition friends is a pilates teacher at our rec center. I’ve never been a fan of group fitness classes, but this one is perfect for me because
1. Everyone’s laying down and nobody is really looking at or watching you.
2. I really want to be into yoga but I can’t do ANY of the moves so pilates makes me feel kind of like a yogi because in pilates we use a yoga mat… I’m lame.
3. When you’re actually doing the moves, it doesn’t seem THAT hard. Of course, you’re going to feel everything working your abs, but nothing seems actually impossible (like most things you do in Kickboxing or Yoga). The next day, you’ll feel all sorts of SORE!
4. The slow toning both relaxes and energizes me! I take a night and mid morning class and I love both, but starting my Monday with some pilates always puts me in a good mood!
Lately I’ve been seriously loving LATTE ART!
So a couple of weeks ago, I visited my boyfriend. We went to Boston of course and before going I looked up coffee shops or bakeries that sold macarons (obsessed). I have this weird obsession with taste testing macarons whenever possible. I stumbled upon a coffee shop that sells them and got great ratings. I of course looked up their hashtag on instagram, #thinkingcup and was bombarded with LATTE ART pictures! OH MY GOD… I never really thought real places did that- I’ve only ever seen things like that on instafamous people’s instagrams! Of course my mind was made up and we WERE going there. We went, and unfortunately their macarons were not my favorite, but my latte art was! I became seriously obsessed and started looking up latte art everywhere and actually found out that the coffee shop in my town does it- I’ve gone twice in the past week since finding out. If you don’t know what I’m talking about please look it up or check out my instagram! @lextorres (or just look up the hashtag #latteart)
Lately I’ve been seriously loving VEGANISM!
I’ve been throwing around the idea of becoming Vegan. I know it’s a crazy lifestyle change and I’m not sure I’m really ready or doing it for the right reasons. I know everyone has their own reasons, but my main reason was to lose weight. I have the book, Skinny Bitch in the Kitch, and all of their recipes are Vegan, so I really wanted to test them out and test out the Vegan food lifestyle for a week. I’ve made it a week and I’m actually loving it! I can’t say I’m ‘Vegan’ because I’ve been using all my regular products which I’m sure one or two must have some horrible ingredient or have been tested on animals, but the food part of the lifestyle I got down! I still have a lot of researching to do and thinking to do before seriously thinking about committing- especially because it would mean no more french macarons and my life might end- we’ll see!
Lately I’ve been seriously loving JULIE & JULIA!
If you haven’t seen this movie and you love food, you must watch it. Meryl Streep is fabulous of course, and I now want to move to France. I saw this back in 2009 when it came out but I definitely didn’t appreciate it as much then as I do now! I want to watch this movie everyday and live Julia Child’s life!
