I know, I know, you think this looks gross, don’t you? Well guess what? It’s not! I was extremely hesitant while making my very first green smoothie, but when I tasted it, I was in shock! It wasn’t disgusting like I thought it would be! I then proceeded to get my boyfriend, mom, and brother to try it as well, and what do you know, they liked it too! Don’t let the fact that there’s spinach in there scare you.. You really can’t taste it, because all of the fruits mask the flavor perfectly!
Ingredients (based on your liking/size..and other ingredients added in, like other fruits)
-2 or 3 handfuls of fresh spinach
-5 chunks of pineapple
-1/4 cup of yogurt of your choice (greek would have the most protein)
-1 or 2 tbsp flax seeds
-a couple of strawberries or any other fruit you’d like
I just throw all of those ingredients into my Ninja mixer <– it’s awesome. Blend it all up and ta-da! Vegetables, fruit, dairy, all in one! Because I don’t use ice, if it’s not cold enough I just put a few ice cubes in the cup I pour it in. I love these before or after the gym and in the mornings. Enjoy!
